Cumano belongs to the first generation of three approved Cassini sons, who made quite a fuss at the stallion selection in Neumunster. Apart from a harmonious build, he combines a light-footed gallop and an incredible jumping power with an almost perfect technique. Cumano has undeniably inherited these qualities from Cassini, who, under Franke Sloothaak, belongs to the summit of the international jumping top.
The 5-year old products of Cassini are performing well in the jumping sport. 27 of them gained 154 victories and classifications in 1997, which provided Cassini with a 138 (0,71 %) breeding index.
At his mother’s side, Cumano goes back to the best Holstein mare-products, via Landgraf I and Caletto II. Landgraf I is the father of the mother of 75 tested studs, with e.g. Come On. From Caletto II Operette la Silla (J. Tops) and Olympic champion Jewel’s Classic Touch (P. Raymaekers, belong to the top of the WBFSH-ranking. Classic Touch, who managed to win the Bremen and Moorslede GP in 1998, comes back again to Landgraf I on the maternal side.
Cumano’s dam-line matches excellently with Capitol I blood. From Weiβe Dame, also in combination with Capitol I, comes the approved stallion Cassino, who is not at all unknown in the jumping sport under the Danish horseman Michael Aabo.
